Sonja Kujawsky, a Russian pianist living in Germany, opened her recital Thursday night at the Big Gallery of Art auditorium with a lovely rendition of Chopin's Nocturne No. 7, Op. 27/1. But when the beauty pianist attacked the Russian pieces by Tchaykowsky and contemporary composer Rodion Shchedrin, it became clear that Sonja Kujawsky musical inclinations and talents lie in the country of her birth.
